Sweet Hickory BBQ Sauce

  • 2 cups of Ketchup
  • 2 cups of packed brown sugar
  • 5 or more cloves of Garlic, depends on how much garlic flavor you like
  • 4 table spoons of apple cider vinegar
  • 5 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 table spoons of Spanish paprika
  • 1 table spoon of Celery salt
  • 1 cup of white wine (Only use what you would like to drink)
  • ¼ cup of granulated garlic, I am a garlic fan so you can add a little more or less
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 table spoons of dry mustard
  • 4 tablespoons of natural honey, any liquified honey will work
  • 1 – 3 table spoons of Liquid smoke – depend on how much smoky flavor you want
  • Fresh cracked black pepper and Kosher salt to taste


Add all ingredients to a pot, bring to a light boil, then simmer for about 30 – 40 minutes or until thickened. Bring off heat, cool and use any bottle that you have to store.
